How it works.

+ Mammography facility contracts with PlusCAD to perform mammography film digitization and CAD analysis services on a fee-per-study basis.

+ Facility performs mammogram and places the films in an insert folder.

+ Films are picked up daily and transported to PlusCAD by an express courier service.

+ PlusCAD digitizes images, performs CAD analysis, and produces a paper printout CAD report.

+ Mammography films and CAD printout transported to the mammography facility for interpretation.

+ Mammography facility and interpreting radiologist bill third-party payors for mammogram as primary procedure with add-on code for CAD analysis.

+ Third-party payors reimburse mammography facility and interpreting radiologist for mammogram and CAD analysis.

+ Mammography facility submits payment to PlusCAD based on per-study contractual rate.
